About Our Endeavor...

Why A "Mission" Or A "Ministry" & Not A "Church"?
Diversified Truth Interfaith Mission & Ministry is referred to as a "ministry" and a "mission" rather than a "church" to emphasize the entirety of our purpose and approach. Our combined model is a holistic approach to belief and faith walk service that balances internal nurturing and creativity with external outreach and practical application.
While ministry focuses on serving the community and strengthening others in their faith walk, a mission is the outward-focused effort to engage with and serve the wider world through example in one's own life.
Distinctions between a "Ministry", "Mission". & "Church":
-
Mission: A mission implies a specific, dedicated purpose - in this case, acting as a "lighthouse" or a "beacon" to help people navigate life's challenges. It suggests a more dynamic, active, and flexible role than a traditional church, which is often seen as a permanent or formal place of group-based worship. It also focuses on practical application and personal growth, rather than adhering to a specific, institutionalized dogma.
-
Ministry: While a ministry also implies service, it often refers to a specific function or department within a larger belief system. The term mission encompasses the entire purpose and philosophy, presenting it as a holistic entity dedicated to a broad scope of service, including ceremonies, counsel, and mentorship, all tailored to the individual's journey.
-
Church: The term "church" often carries connotations of a specific denomination, rigid doctrine, and a formal, congregational structure. By not using this label, Diversified Truth avoids the baggage and expectations associated with conventional religion, making it more welcoming to individuals from diverse backgrounds and belief systems.
Diversified Truth Interfaith Mission & Ministry, lives up to its name. We promote an unconventional, non-denominational nature with a primary focus on practical, and compassionate service to self and others - cultivated and set outside of a traditional religious framework.
